Intro Classes
VI has two versions of Intro to Power BI, using real O&G datasets to speed up learning and adoption. Our Intro to Power BI classes are designed for current Excel or Spotfire users that are new to Power BI (generally <40 hrs hands-on experience). They teach the same basic concepts, but use different datasets to make them as relevant as possible to attendees.
- Intro to Power BI for Oil & Gas Corporate Functions uses accounting transactions and land/lease data
- Intro to Power BI for Oil & Gas Technical Functions uses daily production/pressure data
Intermediate Classes
Our Intermediate Power BI classes focus on the skills needed for enterprise reporting and analytics, using common O&G use cases for exercises. There are four 90-minute modules that we offer in both single day and multi-day formats. These are designed for people that already have basic skills in Power BI such as connecting to datasets, creating visualizations, and simple DAX formulas.
